Interim Servicing
Protect your engine between logbook services with a mid-interval oil change and inspection

Why 15,000km Is Too Long
Salisbury, Adelaide
We're finding that more and more manufacturers are stretching service intervals to 15,000, 20,000, and sometimes even 25,000 kilometres. While this looks great on paper for marketing purposes, the reality is that engine oils are simply not designed to last that long — particularly in Australian conditions and particularly in modern, high-output engines.
Many of our customers buy brand new vehicles knowing their logbook intervals are 15 or 20,000 kilometres, and they bring their vehicle to us at the halfway point between services for an oil and filter change. Along with the oil change, we perform a full inspection — and if there are items we can see that need attention but aren't mentioned in the logbook, we flag them. A lot of our customers take advantage of this to ensure peace of mind that their vehicle is properly maintained.

Our Interim Service Process

Inspection
We start with a full multi-point inspection — checking brakes, fluids, suspension, tyres, and everything we can see to flag anything that needs attention.
Communication
We talk you through what we've found — including items the logbook doesn't mention — so you can make informed decisions about what to address.

Carrying Out
We carry out the oil and filter change with quality products, plus any additional items you've approved — all completed to the same standard as a full service.

Vehicle Pickup
Your vehicle is ready — fresh oil, clean filter, inspection complete, and peace of mind that your engine is protected until the next logbook service.
What's Included in an Interim Service
Oil & Filter Change
The core of every interim service — fresh engine oil and a new filter at the halfway point between your logbook services, ensuring your engine is always running on clean, effective oil.
Comprehensive Inspection
As with all our services, an interim service includes a thorough multi-point inspection. We check everything we can see and flag anything that needs attention.
Logbook-Plus Recommendations
We check for items that your logbook doesn't mention but that we can see need attention. We flag these during our inspection so you can make informed decisions.
Flexible Scheduling
Interim services are typically booked at the halfway point between logbook services — so if your logbook says 15,000km, your interim service falls at around 7,500km. We'll help you work out the right timing.
