Our 1KD-FTV tuning program delivers real, measurable results — validated on our in-house dyno. The 1KD-FTV 3.0L is a proven, durable engine that powers the Hilux N70, the Prado 120 and early 150 Series, and the HiAce H200. Despite its older ECU architecture having a little less headroom than the newer 2.8L 1GD-FTV, it responds well to remapping.

The Toyota 1KD-FTV 3.0L turbo diesel earned its reputation as one of the toughest, most reliable engines Toyota ever built. It powered the previous-generation Hilux N70 (2005-2015), the Prado 120 and early 150 Series, and the HiAce H200 van - all vehicles known for going the distance.
At Stealth Installs we work on plenty of 1KD-FTV vehicles at our Salisbury workshop - Hilux utes still going strong well past 300,000 km, Prados used for family touring, and HiAce vans earning their keep daily. A free-flowing 3" stainless exhaust removes backpressure from the turbo system, improving spool and allowing the remap to extract more from the 1KD-FTV. Off-road DPF options available.
