The Toyota Landcruiser 70 Series is one of Australia's most iconic 4WD workhorses — used hard on farms, mine sites, outback stations, and serious touring trips. The 1VD-FTV 4.5L V8 single turbo diesel is a phenomenal engine that responds brilliantly to the right modifications, and it's the platform we've built our reputation on.
At Stealth Installs, we've built and tuned dozens of 70 Series rigs. Conservative calibration focused on maximum fuel efficiency. Ideal for long highway runs, light-load commuting, or when every kilometre per litre counts. Smooth throttle response and optimized injection timing deliver measurable fuel savings.

Towing Map
Calibrated specifically for heavy loads — caravans, campers, boats, or trailers. Enhanced low-end torque and refined mid-range delivery reduce transmission hunting and engine strain. Your 70 Series pulls harder with less effort.

Power Map

ECU Remapping
Unlock the full potential of the 1VD-FTV. Our custom tune extracts significantly more power and torque while improving throttle response and fuel economy under light loads.
Intercooler Upgrades
The factory intercooler is a known restriction on the 70 Series V8. An upgraded front-mount or top-mount intercooler keeps intake temps in check for reliable power gains.
Exhaust Systems
A 3" or 4" stainless exhaust system reduces backpressure significantly on the single turbo setup, helping spool and improving overall efficiency. Off-road DPF options available.
Heavy-Duty Clutch
A heavy-duty clutch is non-negotiable on any tuned 70 Series. The stock clutch handles factory power fine, but even a conservative tune generates enough extra torque to cause clutch slip under load. We supply and fit quality heavy-duty clutch kits suited to the 1VD-FTV platform.
