Our 1GD-FTV tuning program delivers real, measurable results - validated on our in-house dyno. The 1GD-FTV 2.8L powers the current-generation Hilux N80, the Prado 150 and 250 Series, and the HiAce H300. It responds strongly to remapping and offers excellent headroom.

The Toyota 1GD-FTV 2.8L turbo diesel is the modern successor to the legendary 1KD-FTV - and it's the engine behind some of Toyota's most popular vehicles. It powers the current-generation Hilux N80 (2015+), the Prado 150 and 250 Series, and the HiAce H300. It responds strongly to remapping and offers excellent headroom that factory tuning leaves untapped.
At Stealth Installs we've tuned and built numerous 1GD-FTV vehicles at our Salisbury workshop - from Hilux work utes to Prado tourers and HiAce vans. We know the 1GD-FTV platform inside out and tailor every setup to the owner's specific needs, whether that's work, towing, or touring.

ECU Remapping
The 1GD-FTV responds exceptionally well to remapping - stronger mid-range torque transforms everyday towing and load carrying across Hilux, Prado and HiAce, while maintaining the reliability these vehicles are famous for.
Intercooler Upgrades
The 1GD-FTV benefits from a front-mount intercooler upgrade, particularly in South Australian heat. Reduced charge temps mean more consistent power and less stress on the engine.
Exhaust Systems
A free-flowing 3" stainless exhaust removes backpressure from the turbo system, improving spool and allowing the remap to extract more from the engine. Off-road DPF options available.
Catch Can Systems
The 1GD-FTV produces blow-by that accumulates in the intake over time. A quality catch can is one of the best preventative maintenance investments for any Hilux, Prado or HiAce owner.
